About Mid-Mountain Surveyors
2011 Professional Land Surveyor Services
Statement
of Qualifications (SOQ)
Mid-Mountain Surveyors has been in
operation in rural Ferry
County, Washington since 1983. Mid-Mountain Surveyors was
incorporated in 2007 and is now know as Mid-Mountain Surveyors
Inc.
In over two and a half decades of
operation, the professional staff at MMS has gained extensive experience
in cadastral (boundary) surveys, site topographic surveys, road as-built
surveys, right of way surveys, photogrammetry (flight control) panel
surveys, GPS control surveys, subdivision surveys, boundary line
adjustment surveys, GIS surveys, flood plain study surveys, underwater
topographic surveys and pile volume surveys to name a few. We are
accustomed to working in a variety of coordinate systems including state
plane, local grid, UTM and geodetic.
In its twenty-six years of continuous
operation, our field crews have retraced literally hundreds of miles of
original government (GLO) surveys, recovering and perpetuating scores of
original GLO corner monuments. MMSI has recorded hundreds of surveys in
counties across the state.
Specializing in thorough research and deliberate and patient
analysis of evidence, we have gained a well deserved reputation for
quality work.
MMSI also specializes in all aspects of
construction surveying.
From preliminary site surveys, to construction layout to as-built
surveys of the completed project, we apply the latest technology to
bring high production and efficiency to any size project with a quality
assurance protocol acquired over decades of experience. In the context
of construction projects, we work exceptionally well with project and
field engineers to create in-the-field solutions to problems that often
arise during the course of a project. Our staff has been known to
create AutoCAD drawings in the field that can be reviewed and approved
by project engineers in short periods of time.
In addition, MMSI applies innovation to
customize our operations to each specific project to further enhance our
quality and efficiency. For
example, for past projects we have adopted vehicle mounted GPS receivers
equipped with remote video monitoring to efficiently collect thousands
of precise data points over miles of highway in relatively short periods
of field crew time.
To further illustrate our
resourcefulness, our technical staff has created special customized
programs to analyze raw data files to assure quality control and isolate
possible problems before they occur. We also have developed an
accurate system of project time accounting that provides our clients
with accurate and detailed accounting of all project costs, including
field crew times, materials, and professional oversight time.
MMSI is fully insured with commercial
liability, professional liability (E&O) and inland marine
policies. In the history of
the company, MMSI has never filed an insurance claim for unsatisfactory
work nor has it ever had to defend its work in any court. We take pride in offering our
clients a high standard of professional conduct and an easy to work with
staff.
MMSI has the capacity to employ a maximum
three field crews using up to three RTK GPS/Glonas Rovers, with a FCC
licensed base station capable of 30 watts of power with a range of up to
35 miles. We also have the
ability to have seven static GPS receivers. MMSI also has two robotic total
stations with reflectorless EDM
measurements.
